Environmental Commitments

The PARKROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney is part of the Pan Pacific Hotel Group. With over 30 hotels globally in its portfolio, the group is deeply committed to reducing its environmental footprint and has responsible environmental practices in place. Each of the various hotels implement a green committee made up of employees from various departments that come together for the purpose of finding more sustainable ways to do things. An example of a sustainability initiative is their hotel wide policy which restricts serving plastic straws as well as any products made from shark.

To add to these initial steps towards sustainability, the PARKROYAL Darling Harbour itself has also partnered with The Sustainable Destination Partnership – a collaboration of hotels, entertainment venues and cultural institutions working closely to transform Sydney into a sustainable destination. Working towards the goal of Sustainable Sydney 2030, hotels in the partnership commit to reducing single use plastics, food waste and aligning their supply chains with sustainability objectives laid out by the partnership.

Community Commitments

Along with having a consciousness surrounding environmental sustainability, Pan Pacific also prides itself on caring for the wider community. The hotel group regularly engages in philanthropic, fundraising and volunteering efforts with partner groups that care for societies less privileged. This has included work funding against the exploitation of young women, and a partnership with UNICEF Thailand.

So if you are travelling to Sydney for work or play and want to stay in an eco-conscious hotel in a brilliant location, put the PARK ROYAL Darling Harbour, Sydney on the top of your list.
