Auguste: classic summer styles with an ethical edge

A sophisticated boutique brand, born out of the East coast of Australia, Auguste is known for its boho classics. The Label is feminine, chic, and perfect for a day at the beach.

Pieces to keep

Founder Ebony Eagles has a clear vision: to transcend trends and design future vintage pieces that will be treasured for years to come. Using high quality fabrics and timeless shapes to create effortless style and clothing to last. Auguste brings you clothing to ‘create memories in’.

Trendy and relevant, casual and cool, each collection has a unique nostalgic feel, with a modern take. Auguste definitely has you dreaming of that trip to the tropics you’ve been planning on taking.

The latest collection; Bohème is made up of easy breezy silhouettes, garden florals, trendy leopard prints, soft organic cottons, linens and light denims. Everything is crafted for the conscious thinkers, featuring innovative and sustainable fibres. Think Sundays by the sea in your favourite dress.

Positive change through clothing

Auguste is committed to creating clothing that is ethical and environmentally friendly. With sustainability at its core.

“At Auguste, it’s not just about the clothes and it never has been. We’re trying to create a positive change through our brand for those who want to live an authentic life and raise as much awareness as we can in the process.”

In 2018 the brand launched a range of eco-swimwear made using Econyl (recycled nylon). Made entirely of ocean landfill waste such as ocean plastics and fishing lines. This comes as no surprise as the brand was born by the ocean, in Byron Bay.

Auguste also uses a blend of organic cotton and hemp to make their slogan tee’s. As a renewable resource, and requiring very little water in comparison to other fibres such as conventional cotton used mostly in the fashion industry, hemp is an amazing choice. Mixed with organic cotton, which eliminates the dependence on highly toxic pesticides, hemp and organic cotton blend tee’s are the perfect sustainable alternative.

Charities and partnerships

As a proud member of 1% for the planet, a global movement of businesses committed to investing in a healthier future for our planet, Auguste gives regularly to charities that reflect their ethos such as The Australian Marine Conservation Society and the Orangutan Land Trust.

Other partnerships Auguste have been involved in include:

  • A collaboration with The Australian Marine Conservation Society on a SAVE OUR REEF tee to help protect ocean wildlife and the Great Barrier Reef.
  • One Tree Planted, a non-profit organisation with a mission to help global reforestation.
  • National Centre Against Bullying, where they collaborated on their HERO tees to raise funds against bullying.
  • UN Women National Committee Australia committed to promoting women’s empowerment and gender equality.
  • Fifty wild koala adoptions at the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.

Auguste really is doing its bit to support social and environmental organisations that protect the planet and create positive change within the fashion industry. Shop Auguste online and in their Byron Bay and Brisbane stores.
